Apple Blight.
f The name of remedies . for apple blight is legion, and we have published many of them. The following appears to be amongst the latest, and as blight seems to be on the increase a very where, we give it with much pleasure. It originated with 'Mr Scarrow , of Saoxlon, Rangitikei, who claims that he has found v a special cure." It is very simple, and is as follows : — " Take the castor used as machine oil, and rub over the branches of the trees affected by the blight— in. fact, put ib on all the branches of the trees, as it not only kills the blight, but prevents the trees from being attacked byjit. Mr Scarrow says that he has not got a single frnit tree m his garden now that is affected with the blight, whilst all his neighbours' trees are more or less affecb°d with it. Whilst killing the blight on tree 3 affected by the pest, and preserving- the sound ones from being attacked, the oil also promotes very materially the growth of the trees, and causes them to bear j more fruit than they otherwise, would."]
