The punt got loose. . and was drifted by the tide, which waf running very fast. There was one oar4l and half a paddle m the punt, and the^ boys tried to row to shore. The oar dropped overboard. Deceased- asked . Hart to jump m and recover it. Hart was unable to swim . Deceased jumped m, and soon appeared to be drowniag. Hart whistled to a dog, which swam to i deceased and caught him. by the collar of his coat. The current was too strong, and Veel was drowned.
