| Wairarapa Star.] " Information is wanted concerning Mr. Wm. Kwntish M'Lean, late manager and accountant for Mr Douglas M'Lenn, son of the late Native Minister. The missing man was staying at the Empire Hotel, Wellington, but on 24th January he had a new leather portman* teau conveyed to the Railway station with the view of going to Napier over* "^ land. This is the last that was seen of him. He wrote just previously to his wife at Gisborne, intimating that he had' been detained by some friends, bat intended starting for home next dayv M'Lean is 50 years of age, medium heigth and build, swarthy complexion, .. and has short curly hair turning grey. The police will be glad of information as to his whereabouts."
