STOCK SALE Ai CARNARVON.
The first annual sale of stock from the estate of Mr J. McLennan and Mr F. B, Larkworthy took place on Friday at Carnarvon. A special trail was run from Wanganui, and although only some three or four passengers travelled from there, a very fair number got on board at Turakina, Mnrton, -and the intermediate stations between Carnarvon. Vehicles were m waiting, and visitors were conveyed from the station to the Oroua Downs homestead. The day was fine, but the strong breeze which was blowing raised clouds of sand, which had the effect of rendering matters rather unpleasant.
