Education Board.
pWanganni- Herald. J The elections for the Education Board are coming on. There will be four vacancies. Mr Coutts has resigned, and will not offer himself for re«elec ion ; an extraordinary vacancy being thus created. The three retiring members m the ordinary course are Mr Notman, Mr I Robb, and Mr Snelsori. It is rumoured thot it is not Mr No craan's intention to seak re-election, which, if correct, will be generally regrettei, as there was no more capable man on the Board. Patea will be called upon to send m a mem^ ber m place of Mr Coutts, and the district should look out to find a suitable" candidate. Rangitikei will have I have to find one m the place of Mr Ross, whose daties m connection wich his private school at Turakina will prevent his proper discharge of the duties of a member of the Board, and whoyrill not probably offer himself for reflection. Alanawatu cannot find a better representative than Mr SnelsoD, and he will doubtless be returned.
