He had" been down three^quarters of an hour,; when,; as he- did- not .reply to the signals, his comrades became anxious regarding his safety. They continued pumping -air,' and 'after' four hoursithe body rose to the surface. • Worth being 'then- quite dead. Death is supposed to hare been caused by a woollen cap I'whi^' deceased; wore stopping the air* valve. '' ' v V '
