Croskery, to whose start m business as a knight of the hammer we alluJfld m last night's issue, elsewhere announces his firat great auction sale, which is to take place on Saturday npxt commencing at 1.30. p.m., m the premises known as Coleman's Auction Mart, the Fquare. Mr Croskery has rec ivp.d instructi >ns to offer a large quantity of goods entirely without reserve, and already very extensive cnsignmenta of all descriptions of goods ho vo found their way into his Auction Mart, m readiness for the sale, which will be attended by buyers from all i parts of the district. The catalogue published elsewhere comprises all description of goods m demand by settlers, and all of a t«tv superior quality. A morn varied, extensive, or really useful and valuable assortment of goods has probably never. before been displayed m *ny auction mart m Manawatu, and therein little doubt but that a most successful sale will have to be recorded. Mr Croskery intends dealing 1 largely m general producp, tor whica he will pay cash, and m this sjsteno of doing business he confidently depends upon ths liberal support of the settlers of the adjacent districts. With regular consignments of serviceable goods from Wellington and elsewhere his weekly sales should be looked forward to by the public as occasions on which they Can purchase at reasonable prices every requirement, and find a ready sale for produce of all descriptions.
