Wool Sales.
(by telegraph.) (united phess association.) Invercarcill, January 16. The wool sales to-day came to an early termination without business being: done, owing to the combined action of buyers, who objected to the 1 usual clause m the conditions of sale to the effect that " the buyer, pay the broker on wool one-eighth of a penny i per lb for delivery, and a further charge of 5u per bale if repacked." No objection was taken until a lot had been knocked down to a buyer. As it was then evident there was a combined action among a section of the buyers , the New Zealand and Mercantile Agency Company and their principals who were present declined to proceed. 1 ther firms followed Buit, hauling down their .flag* The sales will be resumed to-morrow, several buyers being willing to give tne eighth, while new buyers and commissions have arrived this afternoon.
