The long outstanding dispute between Mr Sheehan, as trustee for the late Karaitiana, Mr Douglas McLean, son of the late Sir Donald McLean, con cerning (he Ngahiawa Blocks, was settled this morning. Tbe difference between the amount offered for purchase of the land and that wbich was demanded was JJIOOO. Mr Sheehan proposed, and Mr McLean agreed, that this Bum should be given to the ' apier»Waipukurau Hospital, £500 to oaoh, for the endowment and maintenance of a Maori Ward, to be called the McLeau-Karai-tiana Ward.
