Fatal Gun Accident.
(by telegraph.) press association".) Wellington, Jan. 10. A fatal accident occurred at Da^'s Bay on Mondaj. It appears that George Frethy, a farmer of the Lower Hutt, proceeded to the bay with a horp and cart for the purpose of cutting some undergrowth. He took with him a pistol and gun, m case he should come upon some wild pigs. Frrthy not re« turning that night, search was instituted, the result being that he was found lying on his back with a bullet hole through the top of his head. It is thought that, m going through the bush, the pistol went off accidentally. .Frethy had his life insured for ]£200 m the Government office. . ,
