Borough stock sale.
Messrs Stfivens & Gorton report as follows ot their sale yesterday :— The attendance was very good, and although some lots w«re passed m, nearly all wre sold privately afterwards. The following were among the quotations m cattle. Beef, £7 7a ; 2-year-old steers. £3 7s 6d; 15-inot,tliß«old heifers, £2 15s; yearlings, £2 7s. Sheep — Ewes and aethers 7s 9d to 8s 7d ; fat wethers, 108; this year's lambs, 5s 9d to 6s. Horses — Hacks and light harness horses, £5 to £13.
