Terrible Tragedy m SCOTLAND.

White " who is 50 years of age, . has bden m a desponding state for some time, and a medical gentleman recently advised his Mends to place ' him m an asylum, but they would not acquiesce. He took part m the American Civil War, add was tor a time a member of the Metropolitan Police Force. His wife was only 38 years old.' She leaves six children.
