Is 5d per dozen ; butter 8d to 9d lotdairy ; carrots, 2s 6d per cvvt ; pe melons 3s 6d per cwt ; potatoes, 70s to 75s per ton ; onions: 5s 6d per cwt; poultry : fowls 3s to 3s 6d, ducks 4s to 4s 6d ; swedes 2s 6d per cwt ; walnuts 5 kl lb ; oatsheaf chaff 90s t.o 95s a ton.

STOCK SALES. Christchurch, July 15. Roush weather having interfered with the seeding forward of st«--ck, there were smaller yai dings than u?ual at Addington today. Fat cattle —176 head were yarded, including a fair proportion of prime quality. The sale was somewhat dull, last week's rates being barely maintained. Beef ruled from 27s to 30s par lOOlbs, stee-s £Q 10s to £l3, heifers £5 10s to £ll 12s 61, cows £5 to £lO. Fat sheep —The entry was com para tively small and butchers being in short supply as the result of the firmness of last market, they competed briskly for jill prime quality ewes, .vhich in c msequence realised 2s to 3s per heal higher than usual, as much as 24s being given f >r one pen. The wethers went to freezing buyers principally, the market beinf firm at late rates. Wethers 17s 61 to 24s 6rl, prime ewes 16s 3d to 245, others lis to 15s 6d, wethers and ewes 1 7s 6d tj 23s 3d. Fat lambs—The yarding comprised about 1100, and the bulk'was taken by buyers for export, the market being firm'at year's rates. Tegs 1 7s 9d to 21s 6d, freezers 13s 6d to 17s 7d. p 1 s—There was a fair entry, but an irregular sale. Porkers 30s to 43s 6cl equal to s|d per lb ; baconers, 44s to 625, equal to 5d per lb : choppers, £4 to £5. Messrs Free ram R. Jackson and Co.

rep at on their Johnsonville sale as follows : —We had a somewhat shorter supply of cattle than usual, consisting mostlv of rough, unfinished lots. An average yarding of sheep, mostly second class, with an occasional pen of good ewes, were slightly easier than .last week. Ewes made 13s 6d to 14s 3d and 15s to 16s ; wethers 17s.
