Messrs Abraham and ’Williams,,Ltd., report : We conducted a successful sale of sheep, etc., . at Takapau on Thursday, on of Messrs Hartstone and Sons. * There was a good attendance, buyers from a distance being conspicuous. Manavvatu, Wairarapa and, the Bush districts were represented. The sheep wei;e not of a class, and considering the low condition sold remarkably well. Lambs made high figures. The implements and sundries were; keenly competed for. The prices realised were as follows : Two tooth wethers, 10s Id ; four and six-tooth breeding ewes. 10s 7d ; aged breeding ewes 8s lOd to 9s Id ; twotooth breeding ewes 9s 6d ; culls and crocks, 6s 5d to 7s 3d ; lambs (small) 6s lid to 8s : culls 3s 7d ; Romney rams, fgns to l^gns.
