WEDDING BELLS.

An unusually large number of residents attended at the Methodist Church this afternoon to witness the marriage of the Rev. VV. Wills, until lately pastor of the local church, to Ruth Georgiana, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs Jas. G. Deck, of Woodlands, Motueka. The Rev. Williams, of Nelson, acted as officiating clergyman and the service was partly choral, Miss McGlashen presiding at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr J. Deck, was charmingly dressed in white silk, with the orthodox veil and orange blossoms and having a handsome shower bouquet. The bridesmaids were nieces of the bride, Misses G. and L. Deck, Lowe, and Deck, all prettily attired in cream silk and carrying toi tois decorated with crysanthemuins and ribbons. Dr Dukes acted as best man. At the close of the ceremony the weddinomarch was played and as the bridal party proceeded from the church to the carriage, the Sunday school girls strewed flowers along the footpath. The happy couple drove off amidst showers of rice and bearing the best wishes of all. During the afternoon Mr and Mrs Wills proceeded overland to Nelson, from which place they intend tfoing by easy stages to their future home at Kiwitea, near Feilding, where Mr Wills has gbeen stationed by the Methodist Conference.
