AN ENTERPRISING FIRM.
A few months ago we chronicled the fact that Messrs Hewetson and Teece had made arrangements to start a saw mill on the property acquired by them on Wills' road, Central Moutere. Since the mill has been in operation the firm has received most generous support, the ordeis keeping them in full working order and justifying them in extending their business. With that object in view Messrs Hewetson and Teece have ordered from the Old Country one of Fay's latest planing machines which will enable them to fill orders for all kinds of dressed timber, such as rusticating, lining, flooring, mouldings, etc. The planer is expected to be delivered during the present month and when received will be placed in active service without delay. Besides executing all orders, which have been received from all parts of the district including Nelson city, the firm has cut and stacked a large quantity of timber which is now well seasoned. We are always pleased to hear of success and we therefore congratulate Messrs Hewetson and Teece.
