Three cheers were then given for Mr and Mrs Staples, after which the Misses Staples handed round light refreshments.

The annual meeting was held in the Church School room in the evening, when a very satisfactory balance sheet was presented, showing that the corps was quite free from debt, and that there would be a credit balance of over ,£2OO when last "years' capitation had been received.

Amongst other business, it was resolved that an entertainment be promoted during the winter in aid of the Veterans Home.

Mills & Co.), for a set of afternoon teaspoons for the same object, and it was announced that Ll 5 had been received as a grant for prizes from the Government.

The annual camp is to be held on the 26th April. The Captain thanked the off eers, non-coms, and men for their constant assistance during the year, and attended to the fact° that General Babington had expressed himself as being pleased with the condition of the company. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks to the Captain and the officers.

There is every indication that the coming year will be a most successful one from every point of view.
