CRICKET.
A banner match was played at Ngatimoci on Saturday last between the local team and the Motueka Cricket Club, in Mr A. White’s paddock, resulting in a victory for the visitors by 35 runs. The.Motueka cricket team* was captained by R. Simpson and the home team by H. Green. Dinner was provided on the ground by the Ngatimnti cricketers, and an enjoyable day was spent, cheers being exchanged at tie conclusion of the match;'- The following are the scores: —
