MOTUEKA CRICKET ASSOCIATION

A meeting- of the Motueka Cricket Association was held last Saturday evening. Present: delegates from Brooklyn, Ngatimoti, amd Motueka, also the Secretary of the Ngatimoti Cricket Club. Mr Horatio Everett who was voted to the chair. The chairman called on the Secretary to read the minutes of the last meeting, which were confirmed. The balance sheet was read and adopted. The balance from last year was £4 8s 1d; receipts nil ; expenditure on banner, etc, £2 isS_gd, leaving a credit balance of £1 12s 4-d. The officers for the ensuing year were elected as follows : —President, Mr W. Jenkins (re-elected) ; Vice President, Mr H. Everett; Committee, Messrs Everett, H. Boyce and tne Secretary, Mr G. W. Jenkins. : Resolved that the subscriptions be 10s for senior and 5s for junior teams. All Cup matches to start at 10.30 a.m. Resolved that two rounds be play ed, and if a tie result, to be played on a date to be fixed by the committee. Mr T. Goodman gives a ball to the bowler who secures most wickets for the. season, any bowler so competing to play in at least four matches. The President presented a bat to the batsman who has the best batting average under the same conditions. The following are the fixtures for the season : Upper Moutere v. Motueka at Upper Moutere; and Brooklyn v. Ngatimoti at Brooklyn on November 15th. Upper Moutere v. Brooklyn at Upper Moutere; and Motueka v. Ngatimoti at Motueka on November 29th. Motueka v. Brooklyn at Motueka ; and Upper Moutere v. Ngatimoti at Upper Moutere on December 13th. Motueka v. Upper Moutere at Motueka ; and Brooklyn v. Ngatimoti at Ngatimoti on December 27th. Upper_Moutere v. Brooklyn at Brooklyn; and Motueka;v. Ngatimoti at Ngatimoti on January 10th. Motueka v. Brooklyn at Brooklyn ; and Upper - Moutere v. Ngatimoti at Upper Moutere on January 24th.
