RIWAKA.

A meeting of those interested in the supply of a better public hall accommodation was held in the Oddfellows' Hall on the 17th inst, at 8 p.m., Mr H. Everett in the chair. The Chairman having read the advertisement convening the meeting, briefly set forth the need of a larger building, and suggested.the advixabihtv of having one with seating accommodation for about 200 people. After ways and means had been discussed, and finding that the Oddfellows had already formed a Committee to report on the question of enlarging the lodge out of surplus capital it was resolved :—That further action be for the present deferred to see what course will be taken by the Oddfellows.
