PING PONG.
A meeting of those interested in the formation .of a Ping Pong Club, was held in the club room last night, when the following officers were elected : Patron, Mr J. S. Wyatt; President, Mr A. Manoy ; Tice Presidents, Messrs Rankin Senr, C. Holyoa ke, T. G. Brougham; Managing /anrl Selection Committee, Messrs Fitzsimmons,. W. Coppins and the Secretary ; Secretary and Treasurer-, Mr P. R. Jackson. The tables will be available on Monday. Thursday, and Saturday* evenings from Bto 11. The subscription was fixed at Ladies 2s, Gents 3s. : -A ladies’ tournament, Brooklyn v. Riwaka, was played in the Oddfellow’s Hall, Riwaka, last evening, when Brooklyn proved victorious after an exciting game by 101 points. Supper was provided by the Riwaka ladies The following are the scores - Brooklyn.;. Miss B. Fry, 133 ; Mrs L. Duncan, 142 ; Mrs J. Duncan, 140 ; Miss F. Fry, 99 ; Miss A. Fry, 138 ; total 658. Riwaka: Mrs M. Askew, 1 50 ; Miss M. Drummond, 136 ; Miss jVI Bate. 133 ; Miss Cederman, 90 ; Mrs A. Askew* 48; total 557.
