UPPER MOUTERE ROAD BOARD.
The usual in mthly meeting was held on Saturday 28th, all members being present. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. Accounts were paid amounting to £5 7s. v Correspondence was read as follows : From the Colonial Secretary’s Department, replying to letter re vacancy in - jDard, and giving instructions ; from R. J. Trewavas-notdying delivery of poisoned grain, with instructions for use : from Department of Agriculture, f >rwarding new clauses of the Noxious Weeds Act ; from Public Health De- ~ pirtment, enclosing circulars re smallpox and vaccination; from A. Dal} 7 , calling attention to state of the Dovedale road ; from H. Classen, stating that additional work was required on Supplejack Valley road. Resolutions passed : That the fordway on. oh Supplejack Valley road be repaired, and another half-day’s gravelling be done ; that the Board inspect Deepdahe road ; that the attention of me inspector be drawn to noxious weed g rowths on certain roads ; that t ue f irdway at Lines’ bridge be gravel- ! ;.) and the bridge closed, except for f a >t traffic.
