The small supply caused an improvement in values. Best dairy cows were in demand at L 7 to L 9 12s 6d ; others were neglected at L 4 to L 6 1 Os. Fat Sheep—-Only 2500, mostly ewes. Good wether-sand ewes were in demand at low rate-, but secondary ewes sold irregularly. Heavy wethers, 1 8s fro 20s 3d ; freezers, 15s to 17s Id ; lighter, 14s 2d to 14s 9d ; heavy ewes, 14s to 16s 2.1; others 9s to 13s. Only merino wethers were in demand for freezing at 14s 8d to 17s 7d. Fat lambs numbered 730, mostly secondary lots. A good many were pissed to go to the factory.
