Messrs Freeman R. Jackson ami Co (m conjunction with Messrs Abraham and Williams) report that at their sale at Johnsonville, near Wellington, on Friday as follows :—We had an entry of eighty bullocks, mostly of inferior quality. A'number of pens were good forward stores. . No prime beef was yarded. There was a good demand, and best bullocks made from L 7 17s 6d to L 8 5s . others, L 7 10s to L 7 15s; lighter sorts, L 7 to L 7 7s 6d, averaging about 21s per 1001 b. . A larger entry, of sheep than usual met a gxsd demand, and S7ld at slightly better prices than last week. Good ewes made lis Id to lis 5d ; medium ewes, 9s 7d to 10s • others, 9s to 9s 5d ; wethers, 1 Is 6d to lis 8d: lambs, 8s 2d to 9s 6d-; forward lambs, 6s 5d to 7s lid
