RACING AT TAKAKA.

Saturday next, the day after the Agricultural and Pastorial Show, the Takaka Racing Chib will hold its a n mial race meeting. The programme circulated is a good one, and as the entries for the various events are numerous-, some capital sport may be looked for. The courteous secretary, Mr C. ' J. Kirk, has made complete arrangements for the meeting and,- with fine weather, we have no doubt the gathering will be an enjoyable one. Visitors from this part of the province generally muster in full force ; this year, from all accounts, the number “will be much larger than-on previous occasions. The first race is timed to start at--11.30.
