STOCK SALES. Christchurch Oct 18. AtTattersalFson Saturday there was an entry of seventy horses, including a draft of twenty from the North Inland. There was a good all round demand, and a fair clearance was effected. Best draughts made L 33 to L3B 10s. medium, L2O L2B, aged L 5 to Li 6, best saddle and harness horses LIB to L 26, medium LlO to LI 4, hacks L 5 to L 9, unbroken hacks from the North Island L 7 to LlO, tiammers LI 6 to L 23, broken-in saddle and harness horses Ll 4 10s to L2O. Me SSl's Freeman R. Jackson and Co. (in conjunction with Messrs Abraham and Williams) report as to their John- t sonville sale, that they had an average J entry of bullocks of good quality throughout. Notwithstanding tLe presence of a Southern buyer, the demand was not so keen as last week, anol prices were easierby Is per 1001 b. A short supply of sheep were well competed for. The wethers were only light weights, but the ewes were of j prime quality. Only one pen of lambs came forward, for which good value was offered" "and refused.
