Arthur Bisley.

Yesterday afternoon, Arthur Bisley, late School teacher at Denniston died at his mother's residence, Motueka of internal complications. The deceased, who was about 22 years'of age, was a native of this district receiving his education at the Borough Schools under Mr T. G. Malcolm. Being a lad of great promise he was engaged as pupil teacher being subsequently promoted to the position of assistant in the same school. The mastership of the Denniston school becoming vacant Mr Bisley received the appointment from the Nelson Education Board, holding office till about six months ago, when failing health compelled him to apply for leave of absence. This being granted, he came heme, hopeful that the mild climate of Motueka would have a beneficial effect. Such hopes were, however, not to be realised; the seeds of disease had sapped his constitution and he breathed his last as stated above. To his widowed mother ancl other members of the family we join, with many friends, in offering our condolences. Mr George Glover. On Saturday evening last, an old and respected settler in of MiGeorge Glover died atjjpie lesidence of Mr L. Sinclair, withroTiom he had been staying. For many years he was engaged in business in Motueka as a watchmaker and repairer; subsequently he took to sheep fanning at which he succeeded very well. The late Mr Glover was highly esteemed, having been a man of retiring disposition and of a, deeply religious nature. Of late years, on account of his advanced age, his health has gradually failed; without pain, and conscious to
