NATIVE INDUSTRIAL SCHOOL.

During the past year portions of land varying in quantity from 250 to 1000 acres have been granted by the Natives of the different stations to the Missionary Society to serve as endowments for industrial Schools. The Native deeds for these lands have been forwarded to the Surveyor General's Office, and it is hoped that ere long the Crown Grants will be issued. Application has been made to the Home Committee to send out from England a properlv trained Master and Mistress," in order to the establishment of a eentral School in the Waikato district.
