FRANCE.
The French Exhibition is to be opened in the month of May next, during which season it is expected that her Majesty the Queen of England and Prince Albert would visit the Emperor and Empress of the French. In reference to this new order of things, a late paper remarks : " It is almost useless to say, that this exchange of visits is of immense importance. They must Dot be looked on simply as an exchange of civilities between the Sovereigns of two countries. They are a great politieal event, and will do much to cement the alliance which has been already so cordially entered into between the people of these countries."
