The length to which our report of the Auckland Anniversary Regatta has extended, together with an accumulation of other domestic matter, for some time in type, has compelled us to keep back our usual leading article. Wc hope to make ample amends for this in our next number, in which wc shall furnish our native readers with a variety of statistical information, calculated, wc trust, to encourage them to'yet further exertions in the great race of productive industry into which they have so beneficially entered.
