The Garden. —Tie up lettuce; sow more turnips, peas, beans. &c; plant out broccoli, cabbage, savoys, and cabbage plants; nip the tops off the beans that are in blossom, of the long and Windsor kinds j sow endive ; plant out radishes for seed, and tie sticks to those that are getting ripe ; stake peas of llic marrowfat, and the tall growing kinds ; water all newly planted crops until llicy take root; continue to sow various crops for a succession ; still continue to shelter kidney beans and othei tender plants this mouth, as the prevailing winds are frequently very injurious; thin weed, hoe, and stir the surface among seed-, ling crops; this tends much to destroy the nits of insects, which are becoming troublesome ; destroy insects at this season ; pinch off strawberry runners j remove all suckers, except those of raspberries. Flowers —As soon as the tulips, hyacinths, and other bulbs are past flowering, and the leaves decayed, they should be taken up and put by till Autumn. J3e diligent in destroying the weeds, as they are now of quick growth. Field.—Sow maize for crop. It may also be sown broadcast (about two bushels per a-re) for green food. Pare and burn the sorrel wherever it is found. Transplant cabbages to ground previously well prepaied.
