The catalogues of the Maniototo Aand P. Association's annual show are in the hands of the printer and will b available in a few days. The list of casualties at the front continues to increase. To last weeic's list has to be added the names of Privates A. Mawhinney and J. S. Millar, Ranfurly, who have died for the Empire's cause. And the following have been wounded: Arthur Jopson, Oturehua; William. John Millar, Patearoa; A. M'Lean, Oturehua; and a brother of oar clerk of the court (Mr Norrie). H. 0. Reed, an old Nasebyite, is also in hospital as the result of sickness.

Jltjis very satisfactory indeed to learn that our young men are capable of distinguishing themselves when occasion arises. We are informed that S«rgt. f. O'Malley got bis promotion in the last phase of the battle of MesBines. In a previous fight the whole of the officers of the company he was in were killed and he (then a corporal) took charge with such success that be was recommended for promotion.
