S. Adams, o Mount Wilson observatory, California Credit for the discovery was given to Pro fessor George W. Ritchey, of Mount Wil son. The star was estimated to be of th fourteenth magnitude. It was found ii the outer portion of the spiral nebula o the star classed as Dreyer No. 6,946, 10! seconds south, and 37 seconds west of thi nucleus.
