Otago Land Board.

The Otago Land Board was occupied during the greater part of Wednesday in examining affidavits for land in th« subdivision of the Downs Block of Hawkdun Station. A ballot was held subsequently, with toe following result:—

Section 37, block 11, St. Bathans, 297 acrea. Eleven applicants—Mrs Sabina Nicolson (St. Bathans). Section 38. block 11, St. Bathans, 274 acres. Eighteen applicants— Alfred Excell (a soldier on active service from St. Bathans.
