Wedding Bells.

TREGONNING —MACDONALD. A very pretty wedding of considerable interest to the Maniototo was solemnised in the First Church, Dunedin, on Wednesday, May 30th, the bride being Miss C. Macdonald, younger daughter of the late Mr and Mra Macdonald of Oturehua, and the bridegroom Mr Lindaay Tregonning, second son of Mr and Mrs W. H. Tregonning, of Riverslea, Waipiata. The Rev. R. Fairmaid was the cfficiating minister, and Mr J. Timson presided at the organ and played several delightful selections of wedding music. The bridesmaids were Miss Tregonning and Miss Pearce and Mr Harold Pearce acted as best man. The bride was given' away by her brother Mr D. Macdonald. After the ceremony the bridal party and about 70 guests were entertained at the Strand Tea Rooms, where a dainty weddings breakfast had been prepared end was served in a : ! very attentive and effective manner by Mr Armstrong the .uanager and his assistants. The bride wore a handsome white silk dress beautifully trimmed with i silk allover lace and insertion, also the customary wreathe and veil, and carried a beautiful shower bouquet of whjte chrysanthemums and maiden hair fern. The bridesmaids wore saxe blue dresses relieved with white trimming, and stylish hats with white ostrich feathers, and carried bouquets of autumn leaves and'chrysanthemums. After the breakfast the usual toasts/ were honoured, "The Bride and ' Bridegroom," proposed by the chairman, the Rev. R. Fairmaid, and responded to by the hridsgroom; "The Parents and Relatives of the Bride aod Bridegroom," proposed by Mr James Hore; "The Bridesmaids" proposed by the bridegroom and responded to by \ the best man; and "The Chairman" proposed by Mr G. Tregonning. Appropriate wedding music was provided in a very pleasing manner by the Strand Orchestra. The singing of the National Anthem brought the very happy event to a close. The happy couple left en route for the North Island to spend their honeymoon.
