ST. BATHANS.

(From a correspondent.) February 26th;, A few of the residents of this place have formed themselves into a Committee to carry out the celebration of St. Patrick's Day next., Owing to the 17th falling on Saturday this year, the usual night entertainment dance, &c, &c, could not be held without violating the sabbath. The Committee have therefore wisely resolved to hold the celebration on the Monday following, that it is to say, on the 19th March, when a grand ball and refreshments in honor of the day will be given in the schoolroom here.- The Committee are sanguine that those who venerate the name and memory of Ireland's glorious apostle will muster strong on the night in question. The Committee have resolved to hold no picnic this season, they are therefore in a position to make the proposed celebration on the night of the 19th March, a success in every sense.
