CAMBRIAN.
{From our own correspondent.)
The Cambrian school was examined on Wednesday hy Mr. Petrie, Inspector. The examination was a lengthy one, and, in most of the standards, the children passed creditably. The younger ones, however, appeared to be very nervous, aad thus did not answer so readily-£3 tbej- .otherwise would have done. ~" - - The St. David's Day Committee have arranged a very attractive programme of sports, which no doubt will bring several visitors from your quarter. Mr. W. Jackson Barry, who at one time was Mayor of Cromwell, visited Cambrian on Wednesday, and gave a lecture to a very attentive audience. Mr. Barry is aboiit to publish an autobiography of his life, and the lecture was of a highly interesting character, relating to the romantic incidents which he had experienced in a life of thirty-eight years in the Colonies.
