MACRAES.—Jan. 25.
Resident Magistrate's Coubt. (Before H. W. Eobinson, Esq., li.M.) Abraham Cook was charged with being drunk and disorderly and assaulting the police ; also, with having no lawful visible means of support. Fined 40s. on the first charge, or, in default, seven days' imprisonment. The charge of vagrancy was dismissed. Emma Gay Tan was charged with being drunk and disorderly, and with using abusive language. Charges dismissed. Alexander Smith was charged with being drunk and disorderly. Case dismissed. _ Thomas Connor, for being drunk and, disorderly and assaulting the police, was fined 20s. for each offence. J. M'Donald was charged with being drunk and disorderly. Case dismissed. Bieknell v. Fraser.—Claim £6 10s., damages to garden, &c., by trespassing of cow. Judgment for 405., with 9s. costs. Cockerel! v. Stanley.—Damages £4 ss. Judgment for 95., with 275. 6d.'costs. - Slaughtering licenses were granted to Lawrence Flynn and George Cockerell. oWarden's Corr.T. (Be'ove H. W. Robinson, Esq., Warden.)
