Tho length of such race is three and half miles, or thereabouts, and its intended course is about south to north. The mean depth and breadth of such race is 12 x 30 inches, and it is capable of carrying (our heads of water—three heads to be taken from Sowburn Creek, and one head from a spring about 150 yards from head of race.
