Rider of winning horse to receive a whip ; second horse a pair of spurs. Entrance 2s. 6d. RULES AND REGULATIONSMares and Geldings allowed 31bs. No entries will be received, for any of the above races, except upon this condition, that all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall he decided by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint. Their decision upon all points shall be final. No person shall be allowed to enter or ran a horse for any race in this programme—poßt entry races excepted—unless a subscriber of not less than £2 2s. to the Race Fund. Entries to be received by the Secretary, at the "Victoria Hotel, Mount Ida, before 6 p.m. on \6th January, 1877, entrance money enclosed—with name, age, pedigree (if any) of th e horse, name of the owner, and colors of th rider. District races to mean the Mount Ida Warden's District. " Any jockey riding, except in colors entered, will be fined £1 Is. Five per cent, deducted from, the gross amount of all stakes for expenses. Horses walking over will receive 50 per cent of the stakes. The Mount Ida Jockey Club Rules will be strictly enforced. Any person entering a protest will have to deposit £2, and should such protest he deemed frivolous by the Stewards will have to forfeit the same.
