ST. BATHANS.
(From a correspondent.) The holidayß are over. Tour regular correspondent will no doubt give you a full account of the St. Bathans Races, which, notwithstanding tlio sparse population, and the almost general Bcarci'y of cath at the present time, were well attended, and thofoughly enjoyed. 1 will only mention the Hospital Race £9 14a: The collectors were Messrs. Qilmore and Mulvey. Thi> winner was a horse named " Clyde," and belongs to a Mr. Thos. Parsons, of Clyde. A rather amusing message arrived: here yesterday from Mr. Hertslet. It seemß that some one told him that the voters of St; Bathans had made up their minds not to givti him a he mug when he next comes to talk to them. They Bay you must leave home to hear news of yourself. Mr. Hertalet must have been imposed npon if any person told him the foregoing. There is no ode here who has the least objection to lif teii to Ml l . H« rtalfct; but, for all that, I think they have All pretty much made up their minds to vote again for their late representative.
