Augur, writing in a recent number of the 'Australasian,' says :—ln the Mel bourne Cup we find the names of Calumny, Lady Bird, and Kingfisher, who ran first, second, and third, for the Hawfcesbury Handicap, and of Goldsbrough," Kingsborough, and Kingfisher, who gained the envied situations in the Metropolitan. • • • • • It is not unreasonable that good judges should look to one of these, or the redoubtable, Richmond, to furnish the winner-of the Melbourne Cup of 1875.
