To the District Land Officer at Naseby: T- HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that I intend to construct a Water Race and three dams,- for sheepwashing and irrigation, and general purposes, the -water race commencing n't a point in the Manuherikia River, about one mile below the junction of Becks Gorge Creek, and terminating on the pre-emptive section Hawkdun Station, and the dams situate on tho course of the race, about half a mile from my Bheep wash. The length of such Water Race is eight miles or thereabouts, and its intended course is south west through Crown lands, held by me under pastoral and agricultural leases. The mean depth and breadth of such Water Race is ift x 2ft, and it.is capable of carrying four heads of water, and the dame are calculated to contain about 800,000 gallons of water.
