TO THE ELECTORS OF MOUNT IDA.

(To the Editor of the Mount IdaChuonicle.) Fellow electors! at the nomination on Monday, a Mr. Dillon was nominated as a fit and proper person to represent your interests, and the interest of the- district in the Provincial Council. It was done for the purpose of throwing dust in your eyes. Proposed and Seconded by two deep thinkers, for the purpose of putting Leary in, and- keeping honest John Armstrong out. Mr.' Dillon is a contractor, and, if returned, would not be allowed to sit; therefore, ? ; any votes given' to him would be thrown away. I believe, also, that on other grounds Mr. Ewing would not be allowed to take his seat, if returned. However, my purpose is to deal with Dillon, and for this/I wish to draw the special attention of the electors to the true state of the matter. Ponder on it, and ask yourselves the question. Is Dillon fit to represent your interests in the Council ? Would he be a credit to you ? A man that cannot speak six words of the English language instead of representing your ideas, would perhaps misrepresent them, without knowing it. He would be the laughing-stock of the Council*—the »utt to aim at!- "Lo! and behold the representative of Mount Ida! Fellow electors! again beware if Dillon is not playing the roll of his countryman the O'Donoghue at Tralee, if not, he is a more consummate dunce than I can imag-

me.' Hoping you will insert these lines in the ' Mount Ida Chronicle' —I am, &c, Vindex.
