He was undoubtedly an abl* . man, but somewhat unscrupulous, and ultimately was expelled from the Parliament of-Victoria. He went to San Francisco, from thence to Utah, where he scjouvned for a while, passing on " thence to New York. It appears that he is engaged now as one of the exponents ol Bar-. nam's great show business, and is highly appreciated by the King of Charltans. An amusing incident which gave rke to a hearty laugh in the House took place the other night. Mr. Shepherd was making. a.speech, and.had occasion to refer to Mr. Filzherlert.
