In conclusion, the Committee appealed tu the good sense of the inhabitants as to the importance of keeping their back premises clean, which wpuld;pf:-course npt only benefit themselves, but assist materially in improving the healthy cenditipn pf the town. . ... , FINANCE. , ; . In the'matter of Mr. John M'Grecrpris application for re-fund of £l2 lOsf (ih consequence of the Cpmmission apppinted under the Tjiccnsing Act, 1573, havin°* refused" his applicatipn), the Com vittee recommended that, o.n production of tlie old licenses to the Town Clerk on the l'St July next, his claim be paid, and the same amount in all similar cases. The following accounts were passed for

payment:—David JRoss, £5 os.; Peter Talbot, oil account of contracts inTayand Ness-streets, £l2 10s.; Wm. Jacob, progress payment Town Hall, £7O; Morrison and Go., timber, &c., Town Hall, £5 Is. '
