James Howard was granted a slaughtering license. Wabden'b Coget. (Before H. A. Stratford, Esq., Warden.)' Be the Miners' Association v. Handyside and /Roberts' application for 540 acres.—The Warden visited the ground, and Tom Smith's Gully, and, after inspection, determined to grant the application, subject to a reserve of one chain in width, along the course of Tom Smith's or Eas T tern Creek, to be maintained as an outlet for tailings.' Re survey.—To be made without charges. , '
A rather amusing incident occurred/the other day not one hundred miles frojn the quiet and rural township of Donaisl, near St. Arnaud, Victoria. A happy couple just married, both of baahfulTtemperament, the lady being noted for h<W absence of mind, arrived at a certain hotel the first day of her bridal tour. In the middle of the night the lady aroused every inmate in the hotel by screaming out that there was a man in the room. /She had quite forgotten her marriage that morning, and it was only after the pool? unfortunate husband had been kicked out, that she happened to recollect it
