Resident Magistbatb's Copbt.) J (Before H. W. Itobuison, Esq., 8.M.) Drunk and Disorderly.—John Gibson, Francis Deem, James Murphy, and William Cohan, were fined 20s. each for this offence, and John Ryan, 40s. Provoking Breach of the Peace.—John Gibson, for behaviour calculated to proyoke a breach of the peace, was fined 205., he having been already fined for drunkenness. -■'■■ Indecency.—John Callaghan, charged with this offence, did not appear to his|bail. It was not known where he was to be found. Bail forfeited.. Vagrancy.—Ellen Gollis and Elizabeth Bazley were brought up in custody charged with having no lawful visible means of support, and, as they failed to give a satisfactory account of their manner and means of living, they were committed to Dunedin gaol for six weeks | each. Griffiths v. Judgment for amount claimed, and 10s. costs. j Eggers Bros. v. Ah Nann.—Debt £1 12s. Settled out of Court. ■. Same v. Ah Sood.—Debt, £6 10s. Settled out of Court. - Billiard License.-; John Deem applied for registration of his house for the game of billiards. Granted under the Town and Country Police Ordinance,-.the. house not being licensed as an hotel. - :L. Flynn was tgranted a slaughtering license. Wabden's CousT. (Before H. W. Robin»on, Esq., Warden.) Agricultural Lease. —The application of the Canterbury and Otago Association (limited) for 540 acres on their run No. 250 was considered, and the surveyor's report being favorable, and there being no the Warden decided to grant certificate. Grants.—Leahy and others, protection; A. TJpsdale, water race ; A.H. Travers ; residence area; Ah Hill and another, protection; John and others, protection.
