Craig : " Tour Committee .have' the honor to report that, having'visited r the ground, and considered the offer of-the Homeward Bound Company, they are of opinion that, taking into account the "advantage likely to ensue by giving the extension of time asked for for six months, with an alternative road provided at the company's expense, they would recommend the offer to be- accepted, provided the alternative road be at once farmed to the satisfaction of'your Committee or whom they may appoint.. In the. matter of Messrs. Webber and Moore's application to,work the road in rear of the Masonic Hall, your Committee woiild'recommeud that the application be approved of subject to "such security as may be deemed satisfactory to the Council : commen-, cing at the peg above -Mr. 'Marshall's fence, extending upwards'ewithin a safe distance of. the upper road ; "both ends, and any, ous drops, will - require, in the opinion of your Committp, to be protected, on notice being given by'the Town Clerk. " t > Your Committee take tins opportunity, io recommend that the Council at once, in 'accordance with the- motion, already carried, order all parties who have built or extended, premises on to Tay street to remove the same, so that a' right of way may be opened and the offensive drainage in that quarter be 'very speedilyremedied. • .
