Resident Magistrate s Court. (Before H. W. Robinson, Esq., R.M.) Ro?s v. Stronach.—Debt £l9 19s 3d. Mr. Rowlatt for plaintiff. It appeared that the defendant had paid £lO into Court, and that he had previously sent ti;e plaintiff £lO on account. Plaintiff said that he had had no nolice of the payment into Court, otherwise he snould not have appeared; but, being there, he claimed his expenses. Judgment for pl.iiutiff for amount paid into Court, with 18s. 3d. costs, and 245. expenses. Donaldson v. Pr ce.—Debt, £5 16s. sd. Settled out of Court. Registration of Billiard table granted to John Deem. A temporary license was granted to R. Donaldson, for sports to be held at Macraes on Boxing Day. Warden's Court. (Before H. W. Robinson Esq., Warden.) Rooney v. Rich.—For carrying on business without a license. Defendant admitted the f.ict, and said he had been expecting the land to be sold. Fined iu £3, with lis. costs. Rooney v. Flynn.— A similar case to the preceding. Fined £2, and 1! s costs. .Extension of Time.—Authority wus granted to Gh P. Farquhar and others, known as the Shamrock Company, to extend the time for commencing their races (two) for one month beyond the month of grace. Protection of Water Kace.—The operation, of the forfeiture section was suspended in favor of Ah Chovr and party for six months, in respect of their race from the StoneburnJ
